TWAEA BECOMES THE FIRST ORGANIZATION WORLDWIDE TO EARN INQAAHE ISG CERTIFICATION

In August 2024, the Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) was honored with certification under the International Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (ISG) by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). This prestigious recognition positions TWAEA as the world’s first professional quality assurance agency to achieve ISG certification, highlighting our outstanding contributions to international higher education quality assurance.

Since founding in 2003, TWAEA has been dedicated to advancing quality assurance in higher education, continuously enhancing evaluation expertise and methodologies. This global recognition is the culmination of over two decades of commitment and TWAEA’s efforts to align with international standards. The review process involved a year of rigorous preparation, including the analysis of key indicators, the submission of a comprehensive self-assessment report, and a thorough on-site visit conducted by an international panel of experts. TWAEA staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and passion, successfully completing all requirements with precision and excellence.

During the on-site visit, the review panel conducted in-depth interviews with internal and external stakeholders, thoroughly assessing TWAEA’s performance across all key indicators. The panel commended TWAEA for its high level of professionalism and significant contributions to the field of quality assurance. The achievement of ISG certification not only affirms TWAEA’s past efforts but also serves as a driving force for our ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of evaluation services.

This recognition not only elevates TWAEA’s global visibility and influence but also supports the broader internationalization of Taiwan’s higher education. With a solid foundation in internationally recognized quality assurance standards, TWAEA will continue the pursuit of excellence, engaging in regular external reviews and self-reflection to remain agile and at the forefront of global trends in higher education quality assurance.
