The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) participated in the 2025 Conference of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), held in Tokyo, Japan from May 13 to 16. During the event, TWAEA was officially awarded the prestigious INQAAHE International Standards and Guidelines (ISG) Alignment Certificate, with Dr. Chi-Yeh Yung, Chairman of TWAEA, accepting the certificate on behalf of the association.
The INQAAHE ISG, launched in 2022, provides a globally recognized framework to evaluate the maturity and effectiveness of external quality assurance providers. Covering six key dimensions—legitimacy, governance, review framework, transparency, internationalization, and stakeholder engagement—the ISG ensures that agencies not only meet international benchmarks but also demonstrate a capacity for continuous improvement and systemic transformation.
The successful alignment signifies TWAEA's strong professional competence and organizational governance capacity under international standards. It also demonstrates TWAEA's ability to drive transformation in the higher education system and support sustainable development. Receiving the ISG Alignment Certificate is a recognition of TWAEA's longstanding dedication to quality assurance in higher education and marks a significant international milestone. Moving forward, TWAEA will continue to strengthen international collaboration, working hand in hand with quality assurance agencies worldwide to promote educational innovation and sustainable development.
