LAUNCH OF “INTERNATIONAL JOINT ACCREDITATION” BETWEEN TWAEA AND JUAA

In order to assist the universities and colleges to promote internationalization; in the meanwhile, to be in compliance with Ministry of Education’s “Internationalization of Higher Education” and “Higher Education Sprout Project”, Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) has started to cooperate with Japan, Thailand, and Germany to implement the “International Joint Accreditation."

It was first started from last year that Japan came to Taiwan to co-operate with the meeting for accreditation steering committee members to discuss about accreditation procedures, schedule and items, and document preparation at each stage. One school from each country participated in this “International Joint Accreditation” project and TWAEA had already organized a workshop for Taiwanese members to cover these items. For institutions, by participating in the "International Joint Accreditation" project, they not only can obtain the recognition from international professional accreditation agencies, but also help to promote the international students recruitment, study abroad programs, sister universities’ MOU signing, credit recognition, Joint/Double Degree with other international institutions, outstanding researcher recruitment, personnel exchange and etc.

Through the implementation and development of "International Joint Accreditation", TWAEA looks forward to assisting more universities and colleges in demonstrating their characteristics; not only to open up the international markets, but also ensure the quality for going to the international standards.
